Meet Mo’

Monique Hernandez — Owner and CEO

In 2013, my family and I left Colorado with faith in our hearts and moved to Arizona. Doors opened quickly, and we knew God was guiding every step.

Not long after, we became part of Victory Outreach in El Mirage — a small church full of life, purpose, and people who felt like family. When it eventually closed, the building went quiet, but our hearts never stopped longing for that community.

Almost ten years later, I drove past that same little church building — the old fire station — and saw a “For Sale” sign. With God leading and my family standing beside me, we bought it.

The journey that followed was anything but easy. Empty suites, shutdowns, permits, and bills that stacked higher than our hope some days. There were moments I thought it was over. But every time, God whispered, not yet.

Out of that season, The Grind Café was born — built with prayer, persistence, and grit. On June 17, 2025, we opened our doors with an A on our inspection and a renewed sense of purpose.

Today, that same building has become The Station — a home for entrepreneurs, dreamers, and small business owners in the West Valley. What was once a fire station, then a church, is now a place where people come to build, create, and grow.

Welcome to our story, it’s only the beginning.

ELLA

VAL

Ella Patterson — Social Media Manager
& Event Coordinator

I’m the creative behind the camera and the storyteller behind the screen for The Station and The Grind Café. I capture the moments, film the behind‑the‑scenes, and create the videos that show the heart of our community. From reels and short‑form content to full social media strategy, I make sure our online presence feels real, warm, and connected.

I love turning everyday moments into visuals that inspire — highlighting our entrepreneurs, our café regulars, and the energy that makes this place special. If you ever want to collaborate on content, get featured, or bring a creative idea to life, I’m always down to make it happen.

Valerie Adams — Web Designer & Program Coordinator

I’m the program coordinator and web designer behind The Station helping shape the systems, visuals, and digital presence that keep our community moving. I build the structure behind the scenes — from organizing programs and supporting our entrepreneurs to designing the websites and online experiences that tell our story with clarity and purpose.

My work blends creativity with strategy. I love taking ideas, goals, and community needs and turning them into something real — something people can see, use, and feel connected to. Whether I’m developing programs, refining workflows, or designing pages that reflect who we are, my goal is always the same: make things easier, make things beautiful, and make sure our mission shines through.

At the end of the day, I’m here to support our team, empower our small business community, and help build a space where people can grow — online and in person.

We can help.
